As industry turns more digital, it will depend on data: the oil of the digital economy. As you probably know, our Digital Single Market plan promotes the free flow
of data, within countries and across borders. Data does not recognise borders. Nor does the internet. We need free flow of data for a fully functioning digital
economy.
