Texas A&M AgriLife Extension-FBC and the FBC Fair Assoc. is sponsoring an AG’tivity Barn Coloring Contest open to student residents of Fort Bend County in Kinder through 5th grade. Coloring sheets are available for download/print on our website, fortbend.agrilife.org or pick up in the Fort Bend County Extension office lobby (1402 Band Road, Rosenberg). For more information, call 281-342-3034.

The 2020 National 4-H STEM Day registration is open! This year’s theme is “Mars Base Camp.” In this challenge, youth will learn about Mars missions and get to the know the red planet. They will learn about various concepts from computer science to space agriculture.

Experiment kits will be shipped directly to the youth’s home from National 4-H. Each kit serves four kids, so feel free to get the entire family involved! Only 50 families will have the chance to participate, and it is a first-come, first-served. So don’t hesitate to register.

ADULTS CAN JOIN 4-H TOO!!

Parents and other adults are encouraged to become active in 4-H as well thru the numerous volunteer opportunitesavailable. They can give their time and apply their skills as a club or project leader, serve as chaperones, committee members, or help lead community service experiences, camps, and many other events. For more information about how to become more involved in 4-H as a parent or adult volunteer contact the Extension Office at (281) 342-3034.

Remember the 2020-2021 4-H year starts September 1, 2020. Be sure to re-enroll which started August 15, 2020.
